Mr. Sanjib Sunuwar is an Assistant Professor of Department of Soil Science and Agri-Engineering in the Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Nepal and works in CNRM-Sindhuli.
His academic and research interests are deeply rooted in soil science and soil fertility, with a primary focus on developing sustainable soil management practices tailored to the agricultural systems of Nepal. Mr. Sunuwar is particularly interested in the role of soil organic carbon in maintaining soil health and is actively exploring strategies for carbon sequestration in farmlands. His work aims to bridge the gap between advanced soil biogeochemistry and practical, field-level solutions for farmers.

At AFU, he is involved in teaching undergraduate courses related to soil management and mentors students in understanding the critical importance of building organic matter for long-term agricultural productivity and climate resilience.
